Sad News - The members below have passed away in recent months

Retired Police Robert Prosser passed away on 9th November 2017 after a long illness. He joined South Wales Police in 1972 after 20 years he transferred over to Gwent Police. Serving on traffic and then in the Rhymney Valley before retiring in 1997. Unfortunately he suffered with Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his wife Angela and daughter Emma. His funeral was on Thursday, 23rd November 2017, with a service at St Thomas Church, Trethomas followed by cremation at Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff.

 

Sadly on 12th December 2017 retired Detective Inspector Dean WHITE passed away suddenly aged 53 years, after a long illness. Dean retired in July 2016 and his young daughter Ella-Jay survives him . His funeral was on Thursday 4th January 2018 at St Martin’s Church, Caerphilly followed by interment at Thornhill Cemetery, Cardiff.

 

Retired Detective Constable Ian J Webb passed away suddenly on 13th December 2017. He served with the Metropolitan Police, Gwent Police and South Wales Police . He is survived by his wife, Karen and daughter Verity. His funeral was on Wednesday 3rd January 2018 at Gwent Crematorium, Croesyceiliog.

 

One of our oldest members Llewellyn Barrett passed away on 25th December 2017 his funeral was a private family service. Llew joined Monmouthshire Constabulary in the 1950s and served at a number of stations including High Cross and completed 30 years service.

 

Retired Police Sergeant Graham James Palmer passed away on 20th January 2018, aged 84 years. His funeral took place on Thursday 8th February 2018 at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth. As he had lived in Saundersfoot of late.
